Settlement Team

Our Settlement Team is comprised of qualified and experienced social workers and community development workers who work collaboratively with bilingual community aides and dedicated volunteers to deliver a range of Settlement services funded by federal and state government programs.

New and recently arrived migrants and refugees are assisted with a broad range of issues such as housing, education, employment, health care services, mental health services, community engagement and participation.  We design our programs and projects to reflect client needs and address issues as identified by clients and community groups. Across our programs the Settlement Team provide both individual client support and group work services, including:

  • Case work service for recent arrivals
  • Case management services for clients experiencing multiple and complex issues
  • Community Education to support settlement in Australia
  • Group Work with information sessions and workshops
  • Community Development activities for skill development and strengthened community capacity

Our team works closely with clients, assessing and responding to their needs and providing referrals to relevant and specialist services.
