Volunteers play a vital role in assisting our
Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) Clients feel less
isolated and a part of the wider community. All volunteers
are provided with training and ongoing support.
Volunteers
are sought for the following programs:
Community Visitor
Scheme
Community visitors are volunteers who set time
aside each fortnight, to visit and befriend a person living in an
aged care home, who may be experiencing loneliness or social
isolation.

Werribee Learning Support
Program
We’re looking for committed and enthusiastic
people to volunteer as tutors in our Learning Support Program in
Werribee.
The program aims to assist newly arrived young
people from refugee backgrounds with their school work and basic
literacy and numeracy skills.
There are three different session
times:
• High
School (Years 7-12) on Tuesdays and
Thursdays
• Primary School (Grades
3-6) on Wednesdays
All sessions run from
3:30pm-5:30pm.

So if you’re looking for a productive way to
spend your spare time, enhance your resume, and gain extra skills
whilst making a difference in our community, this is a great
opportunity for you.
We provide training and all necessary
support.

Broadband for Seniors Kiosk
(Prahran)

Help others explore a whole new world by
unravelling the mystery of computers and the
internet.
We are seeking mature, friendly and motivated
volunteers to work on the Broadband for Seniors
Project.
You will have basic computer knowledge and be
willing to spend a minimum of 2 hours per week teaching small
groups of seniors from all walks of life.
Your enthusiasm and patience will be
invaluable as will a sense of humour. Ability to speak a language other than English
would be useful but not necessary.
You will receive basic training and have the
opportunity to meet lots of interesting people in a fun
environment. All equipment will be provided and you will be based
in Prahran.
