The NHF is
currently funded to provide English as a Second Language classes
through both the City of Port Phillip and Adult Community and
Further Education (ACFE) funding.
Multicultural
Learning Groups (MLG) - City of Port Phillip
The
MLG program provides English language tuition through social and
recreational activities for elderly individuals from diverse
cultural and linguistic backgrounds. The program was established in
1988 and provides older residents (55 years+) with an opportunity
to improve English communication skills, as well as helping to
break down isolation, increasing access to other
educational/recreational options and encouraging a better
understanding of the local Community and its resources. Classes are
based at accessible community venues across the NHF
region.

Women's Group
The
Multicultural Women's group program provides support and assistance
to migrant women who wish to improve their English language skills.
Childcare is provided and classes are held in a friendly and
supportive environment in accessible community
centres.
